Also Metro" Last light is not Metro 2034 it's an origonal story penned by the author that continues the story of 2033. 2034 is a very different story and has none of the same characters so the developers thought a new story would be a better fit for their next game.

Maybe it's youtube's compression but I don't see that much of an upgrade from 2033 (which isn't bad) in Last night (this ISN'T 2034....). I just hope they dont dumb down the gameplay for the noobs and scrubs out there.

Yea aparently they are focused on optimization this time round, they have also improved their animation and motion blur tech as well as adding destruction etc.

The devs claim to be retaining the elements that made the first game great so I have hope that it will be a polished continuation of the first game that is better in every way.

I bought Metro 2033 during a steam sale, and didn't really liked the FPS I was playing at. Weapons were not right for me, slow reload, low damage... On the other hand, I was blewn away by the atmosphere, which is unique, and I even set the language to russian for more deepness !!!

I bet you they will try to asppease scrubs and make weapons more useful early on rathar than being useable after you put some upgrades on them. That will take so much away from the game too.

Really liked the fabric flapping on the train, and the lighting. Everything seemed to fit really well together.

Well I was impressed. Rage is good to. I did say one of the best. Not the best. Theres so many that look great now that you cant really pick one other than Battlefield 3.

But I liked Last Light. And think it's right up there. It impressed me. ;)

Well, I don't know about graphics but the gameplay looks amazing.
