OK, pretty much no way I'm buying Battlefield 3 now. Wasn't likely before, now it's practically impossible.

MS doesn't seem to use that data to identify users. I believe Origin's EULA allows them to identify users. Naturally both are bad but obviously EA's is worse. Besides, it is more reasonable for an OS to gather data than it is for a single program.
