PlayStation Home will be rebooted this fall as Sony plans to reshape the service into a more social games-oriented platform.

Touted as an ‘evolution of the platform,’ the new PS Home will include a Hub feature in place of the current central plaza, and includes meatier games for players to take part in, as well as opportunities to explore community features and more.

Specific genres will now boast their own dedicated district, with Sony planning on including areas such as the Action District, Adventure District and Sportswalk.

“We are going to ‘up level’ games as the heart of PlayStation Home. This means that Home itself is going to become a game. The first things you see when you get into Home are games,” PS Home boss Jack Buser told VentureBeat.

I wonder if they mean more like facebook games sounds like it to me.

Well, people bitched and moaned about home for months now...looks like they finally get thier wish...question is...will they like it?

Home had a purpose? I thought the lack of purpose was the problem.

They reboot home as many times as they like, but i wont get into it unless the change the horribly ugly character models.

As long as they bring back the horse basketball game and still let me shoot from the top of building then they can change it hehe

you mean like free realms? I prefer Home's current look, I don't like it when they go for the more "out there" look. e.g I prefer when characters have normal clothing not stupid manga otfits and so on. I like the "natural" look. Hopefully they keep it that way.
