What's the source for that graph?

LOL. Source? Where did you get that? It doesn't say anything about Japan or 1st half 2011, did you just make it up? Blu-ray passed DVD in Japan looooong ago.

well one thing i was wrong is that 2011 June not first half
360 would probably still outsell the PS3 even if the PS3 gets a bigger price cut.

Yeah, nevermind, I actually missinterpreted a chart, I thought BD had surpassed DVD already but I was wrong...
Edit: Apparently it is BD players which have surpassed DVD players, not the actual movies, that's why I got confused.

if $199 absolutely not
so for holidays youll be able to get a ps3 mw3 and free online play 4life for your mw3 for under $260
but none of this will happen b/c MSs HDD sku will not stay at $299

Play Me
I think a $100 price cut by Oct would have them win the holidays of 2011, and part of 2012. But if MS did a counter price cut the victory would be short lived and MS would win next year unless Sony cut out again or the next XBox comes out next year.
Why? People are more interested in shooting exclusives in the US (Gears, Halo, etc.) and more people pay for XBox Live gold.
It's just that simple.
Microsoft would cut to $149 if the ps3 becomes a larger threat, but definately not to $99.99 when they're selling well as it is at $199/$299

Nah, PS3 didn't win the xmas season in the US when it went from $399 to $299, whilst the 360 had practically nothing that holiday.

If people still think the entry level price matters, they're completely out of sync. Kinect bundles are essentially MS's new console.
