The Square-Enix merger is like taking the two hottest women on the planet and melding them together to hopefully create some kind of uber woman, only for that woman to come out of the crazy machine responsible for this hypothetical scenario looking like Susan Boyle.

this is brilliant

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

They could charge 500$ for thier games. They still make the BEST games. Blizzard is fine. Once i see a new SC game coming 3 times in 3 years. *once per year*. then i will agree.

Since when does SC2 cost 3 times more then a normal game?!

Regardless, those sites say that the second two thirds of the game will be charged as expansion packs, not as full games (which was the official policy last I heard). So it will likely end up being approximately double the price of a normal game.

By the way, I fully agree that Blizzard make good games (even if I personally don't enjoy SCII) That's why it saddens me that they are raising prices. If a company I didn't care about did the same, I wouldn't even notice/care.

Wings of Liberty had just as many missions as SC1 or any other full retail game has. This is a game that will be played for years maybe even decades. Adding in new mutliplayer features and full campaings for 60$ a pop when the game has already been out for a few years is not bad at all. Sc2 might cost 3 times than any other game, but its 100 times what any other game will dream of accomplishing.
