Well people were expecting a price cut at E3 and I think one of the reasons for ps3s slowish sales is people are expecting a price cut and are waiting for it.

A few months ago, I remember seeing halo reach selling for less than their trade in value was for it and it wasn't a third party seller it was amazon selling halo reach for less than its trade in value. Though who knows maybe prices are getting lowered. |
That is because the trade-ins are determind (and run, for that matter) by a third party company. Amazon then has a deal with this third party company that rather than giving these individuals checks as every other trade in company will do, they will give you an Amazon gift card. The whole process is done in Amazon, leading many to believe Amazon is the one deciding everything with the trade-ins, but they aren't.
Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

I worked at a book warehouse for over a year, and the biggest reason for a trade-in price to dramatically drop was the company received as many copies of said book as they wanted to receive. If 6 months later, they wanted more of that book again, the trade-in price would increase again. |

PS3 will benefit far more from a price cut then 360, which already has a 200 sku, doesn't have bluray and barely has any exclusive games released this year.
I would be surprised if Sony don't cut price this year.
Who's the best Pac, Nas, and Big. Just leave it to that.

$50 means a boost in sales for a good while.
$100 hell breaks loose.
