Did it? Have you seen the yearly financial statements for the company prior to vgchartz pro? If you weren't aware, a LOT of companies lose money in their first several years of business. Just because the website remained active doesn't mean Brett was making money on the website.
They can go ahead and think the numbers are made up, the simple truth is that this is one of the more reliable video game sales tracking sites out there. I REALLY don't understand how having vgchartz pro makes the info seem less accurate. If anything, it shows quite clearly that there is a market for in depth analysis using the numbers from vgchartz. If people are willing to pay thousands of dollars to have the best look at the vgchartz numbers, I'm pretty sure people are using these numbers knowing that they are very accurate.
