He mentioned the publisher comparison, so he actually put three platforms versus three. Also, this "non-existent" number is in so far known as it can't be higher than 250k units, so it's not like he was making random stuff up.

"Terrible sales for 1st party PS3 games."
That's what I was replying to. We have no idea how much PS3 1st party games sold, so why say such a stupid thing, and only about PS3? lol And then go on and compare 1st party sales on Wii, DS and 3DS (With bundles) to PS3 (And apparently) PSP and PS2 (lol)...?
@okr Why didn't you say anything about 1st party Xbox

Because 360's Microsoft-published games are doing fine in comparison to PS3's Sony-published games. Basically and afaik that's currently Halo games and Kinect games plus Gears of War 3 later this year (which will be without a doubt a huge seller). These MS-published games sell very well, some of them even excellently. The vast majority of Sony-published games sold are on PS3 today and I don't think these games are really successful compared to the "core gamer" hype most of them get before release. These Sony games are heavily hyped and discussed on VGC (more than Wii/3DS/DS/PSP/360 1st or 2nd party games). Games like Infamous 2, LBP2 and Killzone 3 get plenty of threads on VGC but for some reasons in WW Up threads their sales seem always to be okay, no matter how low. It's just an obervation I made, it has nothing to do with my console or company preference (I own PS3/PSP/Wii/DS/360 and a gaming laptop as PC will always be my favourite gaming platform).
I don't think that this year Sony is very successful with their self-published games on PS3. More than 50 million consoles sold and yet eagerly awaited and discussed games like Killzone 3, Infamous 2, LBP2 sell to only a fraction of system owners. The comparably low sales where explained to me before by other members with reasons like diversity of released games and Sony console owners' tastes, 3rd party success on PS3 and comparably low advertising, but I'm not sure if these are the real reasons. More and more I think that the real reason could be much simpler: Despite all the hype and buzz surrounding many of Sony's games the only new Sony IP this gen that was actually well accepted by PS owners (and Sony fans among them) is Uncharted.
