I wouldn't exactly call PAX a battle. The three console manufacturers have never had a large presence at at the show, outside of a few demo kiosks. This year is different, given Microsoft is using the event to stage a large marketing push for its flagship franchise, but that's mainly because PAX is really well timed for such an event.

Though I suppose it's a win for any Halo fans that are able to attend.

Man Rol you confuse me. On the Nintendo boards you say their is no such thing as casual or hardcore gamers. Then on the Microsoft board you blast my OP for thinking the world is hardcore gamer centric. Dude I'm so freaking confused.

Also about HaloFest yah I took that into consideration when writing this thread. However Microsoft has three other keynotes about X-Box Live and Major Nelson. While Sony has David Jaffe but what else?

It would seem that even above Halo Microsoft is making a huge push at PAX this year. I hope the competition (Nintendo/Sony) do something cool to at least counter.

Though my friend coming with me to PAX thinks PAX will be worth it just to have a playable demo of Halo4!

Also for those of you who are comparing PAX to E3 well of course PAX is no E3. But just look at last year Duke Nukem and some other announcements were made at PAX. The show does hold some weight I wonder if their will be a big announcement this year, wouldn't be suprised if it came from Microsoft!
