Powerful =/= selling for loss... in fact, chips like, say, the GTX 460-560 should already be cheaper than the RSX was back in 2006. Wait for the 28nm revision and even a console some 8 times stronger than the PS360 could release for profit at $399.

ive read the long posts and i kinda agree on those but from what ive read in the past people are screaming for an upgraded wii and guess what from what ive heard from alot of guys so far that know about the wii u. its going to be just as popular if they dont change it but i think what alot dont get is maybe what nintendo is doin is looking into keeping the power the same which it really isnt as powerful as in processor then alot of the HD systems but what the expensive part is they are using a graphics card that has yet to be even released that is really powerful. maybe they are thinking if they look into cheaper graphics cards as in older ones then they can cut the price down to 200-250 wiht game and to have it be backwards compatible would be a huge plus.

what another post said above when the ps4 and xbox 720 is released why upgrade when the games are already getting ported over is still very much playable on the ps3 and 360? i understand why nintendo wants to have the wii u. look at the 3rd party games that is not getting ported over to the wii because of the power problem.

im wondering if nintendo is also thinking about making more controllers can hook u pto the wii u. which is a good idea. also the reason i think they might just change the name back and release the new version of the wii with more power and hdmi support along with the controller to sustain it til lthe other two decide to make new consoles then while that happends they can do what any game company i think should do have an option of console/pc controls automatically.

what i would like to see is a console come out at 200-250 price range and be ugradable as in processor, ram and controls. but then again we have that in a pc already. but then again maybe the next stop isnt really that controller maybe they are setting up the other two for a suprise. since we all know nintendo loves suprising us
