Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo 3DS question..

I consider myself one of the lucky people who have bought a 3DS during launch day. With the new pricecut coming, I now have the option to get 20 free NES/GBA games. However, my question is this: Do i need to create a Nintendo Club account and activate it to get the free games? Or is just logging into the Nintendo E-Shop enough?

Just connect to the shop.

I was going to answer but then your signature caught my eye and I forgot what you asked...

OT: I am reasonably certain it's the latter (just connect to the e-shop and get the system update), but it's not like I know this for a fact.

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin

Yes well that's what i thought at first. But my brother starting giving me ideas and I couldn't find anything off the internet. Thanks both for your answer :P

Since your question has been answered, now it's MY turn:

After we get our 20 free games, what happens if we switch to a different console later down the line because
a) a better version is released
b) our 3DS is broken/stolen
c) some other, third thing
Do we lose our games forever? If that's the case, our 3DS's with 20 games (some of which are supposed to be exclusive to Ambassadors) just became priceless.

Well, you tied your 3DS and your eShop accounts into your MyNintendo account, right?

Hopefully we'll have some options.

You don't need one to be an ambassador but go ahead and do it anywya. They're handy to have.

Lucky? Hmm I think you got screwed to be honest.

Your gif distracted me from reading the actual post, but I did and since you have a 3ds I do have a question, are you disappointed? I mean 20 old games surely doesn't go up to a price of 80 bucks.
