Forums - Website Topics - VGchartz Getting more Respect In Gaming Industry.

I've lately seen Vgchartz refered many times on gaming site and i just say this one refered about the bringing of "drawn to life" to the Korean market. Whatdo you all think about VGchartz getting more respected in the indusrty. I for one think it is a good thing.

Drawn to Life must have been a success (VGChartz says 200,000 copies), because THQ is localizing the game for the Korean market. We can't tell you exactly what the title is, but machine translation gives us something like "Drawn, to sprout! The world which I make!" which definitely conveys the right kind of idea.

5th Cell's first DS game was definitely one of the most creative and best-made platformers of the year, and we couldn't be happier to see it finding a worldwide audience. Lots of Korean gamers love 2D, as well, so this has the potential to be even bigger over there than in the U.S.

In the Future most websites will be looking at Vgchartz data instead of NPD

It's a good example of the type of numbers people would like to have available to comment on.

really good, i mean last month numbers were incredibly accurate when in comparison with NPD's, and the software chart for "others" is a really fantastic, and useful addition to the site

Hopefully VGchartZ becomesd the main source of sales data bc it comes in the quickest and is them most representative compared to the only other option.
