I cba to dig too far but from what I can see it ended it's first full year just under 10m, despite the fact that it only had 3 full months of release in Europe. 3DS will probably just be above 10m by the same point as the PSP (i.e. year end both with one Christmas) despite having released in Europe for like 6 months longer... but it's outselling the DS quite considerably now and I thought the DS outsold the PSP first year? I can't get the numbers to add up so I'm guessing the comparisons being used here are ignoring the DS's staggered European launch or something. *shrug*. I think one thing to take from this is that the DS really didn't sell all that great until the DS lite remodel... or that the PSP, DS and 3DS all started really well, depending on your perspective. |
The PSP at 37 weeks was 3,858,928. Way below the DS. PSP Numbers are from Auguest 20th 2005. The DS did outsell the PSP in its first year by a little over a million. The PSP did a little under 10 million in its first year
@Machina I plan to do this again but also with yoy sales for 3DS as well
