Yes, I know. GBC sales were basically non-existent during the DS's first year.

However, the GBA kept trucking along just fine after the DS launched. I would actually say that the GBA was stronger in the transitional phase as the DS is now, so the 3DS isn't at a disadvantage in this regard.
