12,000 is enormous and more than enough for statistically accurate polling. Any problems here have nothing to do with sample size.

You don't know much about statistics do you?  A sample size of 12,000 is huge for a population the size of the US.  Most political polling uses only 1000 as the sample size.  That gives you a margin of error of about plus or minus 3% at a 95% confidence level.  A sample size of 12,000 gives you a margin of error of only plus or minus 0.9% at a 95% confidence level.  With a sample this large we can use a confidence level of 99% and the margin of error is still only plus or minus 1.2%.

There still might be problems with the survey, but sample size is not one of them.

You say this like I think political pollings use good sampe sizes. I don't.

Unless Netflix themselves give numbers i find the info just plain unreliable. 12000 out of probably over 10M is nothing.

You didn't actually read my post did you.

For the US, a sample size of 12,000 people gives a margin of error of only plus or minus 0.9%.  That is the hard math.  That is what it is.  There is no arguing with it.  For this survey, we can confidently say that the Wii is between 24% and 26%.

Even with only 1,000 people, surveys are still very accurate.  The few times political polls get it wrong it becomes a big news story.  They are usually right.

Sample size is not the problem with this survey.
