Honestly, to me the game feels a lot like Medel of Honor rather than any of the previous Battlefield or Bad Company games but they have plently of time to fix it.

Got an email a few days ago just redeemed the code will have a look later. A guy in work got his earlier in the week and seemed pretty impressed.

After all it is in it's alpha stages so there's plenty of room for error.

Just got an email invite a few minutes ago. Will try this out tonight if I get a chance, though I'm more interested in the console version.

I doubt its because your Australian. Whats your Veteran status?  And thats the point of this alpha, to test the servers so we dont have that problem when they game comes out. To be honest i think the real test will be the public beta in Sept. i can see that being played by more people then the final game.


i dont know but i own BFBC1, BFBC2, BF2 and have played BattleFeild Hereos and BF4F as well. So i have played plently of battle feild games. Its differently because i am australian because i bet before you join you have a select a NDA agreement of some type and its cheaper to have your lawyers in one country then many.

oh, you would have a vet status of 4 right now. BF4F hasnt been added to vet system yet. but as for country things...yea i havent a clue lol. Ashame..I didnt get in the alpha either...instead i get in the resistance 3 beta...grr...

OK played the Alpha and enjoyed it, obviously it is an Alpha and one covered by NDA but the good news is that my old rig chugged along without to much drama.

I still haven't even been able to play that damn game. I have it installed, I go to launch the game and nothing happens. I've tried from the retarded web browser system they have as well, still no luck. Looked on their forums and it seems to not be an isolated issue at all and I have tried everything the "Official Game won't start/launch" thread has said with still no fix.

Way to fuck up an alpha trial by using some weird browser setup and having a game that won't launch...

No, I never had a problem with that. I could always get a space and it would say "Joining Game" then the small window would pop up saying "Launching Battlefield 3 Alpha" and then it would disappear and nothing would load.

Now today I can't even get http://battlelog.battlefield.com/ to load...
