Forums - Sales - Can Assassins Creed Revelations outsell the previous AC titles?

Can Assassins Creed Revelations outsell the previous AC titles? As we all know the sales of AC brotherhood are less than both AC and AC2. Despite having good reviews from most sties it failed to sell as well. We all know that it had plenty of competition (Black Ops, GT5, DK returns e.t.c.) but it has heavy competition every year but every AC fails to sell more than the previous one or is on par with them. Can AC revealtions change that? It looks like a really great game but last time when it faced Uncharted 2 (closest competiton it had) it beat it for the year but overall it did end up losing. I know Uncharted (indivusal sku) is a bigger series but AC still looks the same. Can things change? Or will it just slowly and slowly die like Prince of Persia did?

So will Assassins Creed Revelations outsell the previous Assassin Creed titles. Or will the trend continue and AC Revelations will end up selling slower than the previous titles? What do you think?

it will probably outsell brotherhood but i doubt 1 or 2 though 3 might. Also uncharted is not bugger than assassins creed.

I mean brotherhood did 7.2 million according to vgchartz while uncharted has done 4.7 million.

Ahh you didnt say that in your op you said series you never really seemed to say on one specific console.

Yes, Revelations will easily sell more than Brotherhood. Remember that Brotherhood was mainly seen as an expansion for AC2 with online, but with Revelations we will get a new game.

And it will have Altair too.

what how? I thought the old guy was ezio?

Looking by the trailer and game play this game looks terrific. I doubt there can be a better game this year... well of course Uncharted 3 and Modern Warfare 3 do have a chance but I'm putting my money on AC Revelations

Yes it will outsell brotherhood, maybe even 2, I don't know. The problem with brotherhood was that people did think it was an expansion pack with multiplayer. When in reality it wasn't and people still probably don't realize that it moves desmonds story forward and so will revelations. And I think a lot of people think that they are just games to help fill the gap between 2 and 3 without doing research. So when they pick up AC3 they will be disappointed when they don't know what's going on
