Maybe if someone's playing an obscure game or something from Japan you never heard of that you might like, it could be useful in informing? Or maybe to get secret things in games? But yeah, I probably won't use it much either. Better than not having it I suppose lol.

Very good question, I doubt its because of a technical or software issue. Maybe Sony's just withholding it for the PS4. Or does Microsoft really have a patent on cross game audio chat on home consoles?

Anyways it's nifty feature to have, when you wanna stay in touch with friends while gaming and its smart of Sony to have for PSP 2 Vita.
