Guys i wasn't expecting this!! I was expecting higher number for ps3 this week for ps3 than wii!!! But Wii conquered!! Anyone think that this week will be a 1 million week again for Wii? (if i remember correctly, wii sold near 400,000 in japan last week!) deliver your thoughts a.s.a.p.!



Damn things have changed since 2009 began. Here are my new visions for the end of the generation.

 

Wii: 135 mil

Ps3: 85 mil

360: 60 mil

1 million week for Wii will be hard. But I heard that japanease sales are higher the week after christmas rather then the week before. So nothing's impossible.

John Lucas was surprisingly close, I thought he would be millions off but it could be only 0.5 million off

 Maybe even closer as his prediction includes Sunday and Monday, if any Wii's were available those days to sell



 

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Since this doesn't count sunday and monday his prediction won't be true, and we'll never know if it was.

 Well if it passes 20 million rather easily next week, when this weeks data is released, like by 500K+, then we'll know he was very close, if not spot on

True.  The sales week ending 1/5 will have the 12/30 and 12/31 sales.  But we can somewhat estimate that at least 1/3 of the sales will have occurred then.  Why 1/3?  Many if not most stores will be closed New Years Day.  With others getting Monday off or half off, Sunday/Monday was more like a weekend than a part weekend/weekday.

 Probably isnt thread worthy, but otherwise you would have wasted your time trying to find one that was thread worthy to comment on.  And I think for some, (not you, of course, ;) ) to respond with any info to back up their comments is much too hard for them!

And i knew it.
I mean,com'on guys.
Everybody know what's gonna happen in 2008.
Nintendo's gonna up his wii production to 2,4 wii by month.
We can already say it:THe Wii is the clear Winner of this generation...
Sony and Microsoft are just doing «fine».

the gap between the 360 and Wii will only continue to grow as the 360 and PS3 begin to compete directly over their minority markets.

Wii and xbox360 difference is now way big, if you think that xbox360 launched 1 year earlier....

if we think that Ps3 outsold xbox360 is the last few weeks, if it keeps on...then the battle is between Ps3 and Wii....where their difference is too small in europe (29 december week).....
