@ Tres. Look me in the eyes and tell me you would honestly have published Wii Chess in America.

lol, of course I wouldn't have. The game is garbage, but it's another game that never made it. This was simply a list of games that NCL published but NoA didn't. For example I would have never published Mystery Case Files or DK Barrell Blast anywhere either.

You missed my point. Publishing a chess game in Europe would be profitable, hence they did it. Publishing a chess game in the USA would not be, hence they didn't do it. The same is true for most the other games listed.

No, it isn't.

Check it.
http://www.trademarkia.com/nintendo-the-last-story-77910766.html

Filing date: 1/13/2010
Issue date: 7/12/2011

Notice the dates.  They've been fighting to get the legal rights for The Last Story in the US for 1.5 years.

If this is true, why has it taken them this long?

Will Xenoblade even be released this year in NA?

Ever try to have something trademarked in the US?  I have.  Get ready to wait a while for it...especially if it's contested or not unique enough.

Monado was filed on June 2nd of 2009 and was just granted a 3rd extension on June 15 of 2011.  So they fully intend to release the games but if you don't have your legal ducks in a row first, you can have your product yanked from shelves and sued pretty harshly.

Suddenly the situation with the Mother series seems a lot more clear

And just to add more flame to the fire, I'll mention that NCL had Epic Mickey's camera and controls improved for the Japanese release...

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

mini-games on consoles, cinematic games on handhelds, what's next? GameBoy IMAX?

hilarious reading some mindless nintendo drones defending NOA. ASH, Mother 3, Fatal Frame IV, Reginleiv, etc should had been released with no excuse. At least we're getting Fortune Street, and Dragon Quest Monsters Joker II. Its weird those two games would get localized instead of the Last Story/Xenoblade, since they'll probably sell less than hyped jrpgs. Do you guys honestly think that releasing DQMJ2 instead of Fire Emblem (where the fuck is it?) is a better business decision.....?

It's weird that you didn't listen when I just notated their legal problems and that they are getting localized.
