Here's a list I managed to make with Flickcharts:

1. Gone with the Wind
2. WALL-E
3. Pan's Labyrinth
4. Psycho
5. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Awesome list! Pan's Labyrinth and Eternal Sunshine are both in my top 10. I just couldn't squeeze them into my top 5!

Some of these choices I am seeing just make me vomit a little, you people really need to see more movies.

1. Schindlers List
2. Saving Private Ryan
3. The Green Mile
4. Shawshank Redemption
5. Scarface

Today I'd say

His Girl Friday
Blade Runner
The Jungle Book (Disney)
North By Northwest
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

In my opinion each of these movies is as perfect as a movie can be in its respective genre, so I think they make a nice, short list to show my taste (and just for the record: I consider Butch & Sundance not as best western movie, but as best buddy movie ever made, if that counts as a genre).

My list would change depending on my mood and memory if you would ask next month or next year. I love at least 100 movies out of the several thousands I've seen so much that narrowing it down to my "real" top 5 would take forever and probably drive me mad, e.g.
"hm. His Girl Friday is a near perfect comedy and among my most favourite ones in that genre but do I really like it more than Philadelphia Story or Bringing Up Baby or Some Like It or Hot or The Front Page or A Night at the Opera or Duck Soup or Ninotchka or Annie Hall or Love and Death or The Great Dictator or The Flying Deuces or Silver Streak or Young Frankenstein or L’aile ou la cuisse or Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines or Groundhog Day or..."
...you see what I mean.

1. Rocky (1976)
2. Buried Alive (1990)
3. The Good, The Bad & The Ugly (1966)
4. The Karate Kid (1984)
5. Back To The Future (1985)

They should put Buried Alive out on DVD/Blu Ray. I love that movie!

Please do not question other people's taste or tell them to see more movies.

In my opinion everyone should be allowed to like what they want and watch as many or as few movies as they want. I may have seen many movies in my life but that doesn't make me special. I still only have seen a fraction of movies out there. There's this friend of mine who only likes horror movies and I've only seen one or two of all those horror movies he's watched in his life (it's my least favourite genre), he has never seen most of the movies I've seen. Each to their own.

1. Goodfellas (Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E84VqqCPI7w

2. Drunken Master (Jackie Chan, Hwang Jang Lee) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34-blSexznI

3. Evil Dead 2 (Bruce Campbell) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzXk3nfEdMY

4. Rocky III (Sylvester Stallone, Talia Shire, Carl Weathers, MR. T, Hulk Hogan)

5. The Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton)

I generally dislike most films but even in the most average mediums there are always a few outstanding works

Personal Faves

1. The Time Travellers wife
2. Titanic
3. Donnie Darko
4.The Ninth Gate
5. Sherlock Holmes (2009)

PLAYSTATION NATION LADY OF JRPGS

Favourite Games of 2013 1.Tomb Raider(PS3) 2.Atelier Ayesha(PS3) 3.Virtues Last Reward (Vita)

Tough one... I guess I'd say:

1.) Lord of the Rings movies (lumping all three into one)

2.) Star Wars Trilogy (Again, all three, original trilogy only)

3.) The Matrix (just the first one)

4.) Goodfellas

5.) Office Space

Casino, Godfather, Scarface, Carlitos Way, Rambo.

It's really tough to make a top 5 movies list but since there are soooooo many good movies.
