So once you are invited can you invite people yourself? I deleted my facebook and myspace accounts awhile ago and I am not too sure I want to give social networking a try again.

It supports people in your circles that your make.

So you can have a circle of just friends, family, online friends, and then chat with just those circles, even video chat.

You have to be in it to understand the full potential.

I suppose I'll give it a try. Send me an invite at sethnintendo@gmail.com , I use another gmail account as my main account so I really don't care that people see this email on the thread. I'll try it out in the evening.

Been on it a little over a week myself. Has the potential to be FAR better at group networking with people in a fashion similar to real life. However, it loses that randomness FB gives you from people you don't normally talk to as well as it being empty at the moment.

Additionally, forcing you to have a gmail account will drastically reduce some people's attraction and therefore potentially never allow it to be as large as FB... also part of FB's appeal.

I'll keep it in the long run as it makes it easier to broadcast out messages to specific people.

in order for it to be an invasion i have to not want them to access the information and then they access it anyways.  i like facebook, i freely give my information to them because i like the service.  if you don't like social networking, don't use it but don't hate on a service many people like myself love.

Big fan of gmail. Would love to get an invite :)
