No. Google Plus gives you the option to specify with EVERYTHING you put on it WHO sees it. Including each and every individual post. FB gives you that too, yes, but it's not as intuitive. G+ makes it really simple.
Google Plus also does not claim to own your content the moment you upload it. If you want to cancel your account, they say, "No problem! Here's all your data!" and it's gone. It's a LOT more convenient and private than Facebook, and that's one of their major selling points.
