its just terrible, I can't believe software is down 33% though, as a gamer, I think there are more AAA title this year than last year, developers will start pressurizing Sony and Micrsoft to hurry up with the PS4 and 720 at this rate :/ (well Ubisoft has already started)

Ooops, you're right. It beats it AGAIN in EMEAA. I shouldn't post when I'm sleepy...
Also, I should have refreshed the charts page, my browser was messing old and new charts.
oh my poor Infamous...
i still dont get it how games like Zumba fitness are selling so good...is it bundled or something?

Everyone is perfomring poorly now in this region TOTAL Hardware DOWN 48% TOTAL Software DOWN 33% Does anyone seriously believe we wont see new consoles announced next year? and price cuts must be just around the corner. |
YoY numbers are bad indeed, but both MS and Sony have good reasons to not rush next gen launches. 2012 announcements and 2013 launches aren't unlikely, but MS and Sony will wait to see price cuts effects and they'll watch what happens to Ninty after its early launches too before deciding.
PS: thanks for the YoY table and LOL, you were quick as usual this time!
GT5 = MONSTER! Although sales are slowing down for the game :(. It should be back up when PS3 gets it's price cut!

Oh the irony that is you two complaining about bad sales for an overpriced console. Good luck with Vita i suppose, at least Nintendo's making an actual profit on it. Imo, Nintendo are still trying to establish their new marketing strategy, and they'll probably wait another 6 months, because when Mario 3D, MK and Kid Icarus launch thats when they'll need the push. |
how is that ironic in any way? weird way to put it
and don't worry I have always said 3ds>psv in sales, and not many would have expected other wise. at least the device won't be overpriced and the company isn't waiting for people to see the 'magic'. if you honestly think ninty planned all of this you are just kidding yourself. they rushed the product and it's biting them in the ass, simple as that. not sure what this 'new marketing strategy' you speak of is really, sounds like nonsense. oh and the profit/vita topic is still not clear as we had several clashing news reports on it. I suggest we wait it out and see how it goes once the final product comes out.

no, its permanent now, has been at these lower prices for some time. |
Care to post some links? I mean I'm not sure how it is in EMEAA, but here in the US at least, GT5 has yet to see a price cut. Maybe a few random local stores, but the vast majority of stores have yet to cut it. At Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Toys R' Us, Gamestop, and Amazon it is still a full $59.99. I'm guessing Sony is waiting til this holiday season to drop its price AND put it in another bundle. This coupled with a PS3 price cut should give it a pretty nice boost.
