Something to bear in mind is that Japan's disaster earlier this year hit Sony's finances hard. They will be looking hard at avoiding a price cut as long as possible. And in their current position, with Kinect kicking ass and the Wii floundering, Microsoft has no reason to cut the price if Sony don't.

I am not saying there will be no cut this year, just that it isn't a forgone conclusion.

I hope soon. I have been itching to get a ps3 lately but they are just a little more than I am willing to spend. I am hoping there will be good black friday ps3 deals.

You just missed it bro! A couple of weeks ago Best Buy was offering a free 100 dollar gift card with the purchase of a new PS3. That's when I picked mine up! :)
