I didn't actually read the text (about to go to bed) but my response based on the title is "and the Kinect/Move don't?"

Wow this thread fails so many times. First off I like how you try to diss Nintendo... (and fail)... for the money Nintendo makes.
Are you so blind to the fact that the ONLY way Nintendo can make money is through video games? Wow what a concept right? Unlike Microsoft (Phones, OS, Software, etc).. or your precious Sony (Phones,T.V's,Laptops, etc) Nintendo needs to make as much money as they can from video games because that's the only way they make money.
Have you looked at the sales recently? Are you aware Wii is at 87 million and DS 147 million? What are the numbers of the other consoles? And don't give some lame excuse about who buys Nintendo, the fact is they sell. They are popular, they are fun. So fun in fact, Sony goes and makes an exact copy of what Wii was doing! LOL
And who the hell are you to say who's a real gamer and who isn't. That's pretty low and pathetic dude. Just because I don't own GoW 3 that makes me a non gamer? Let me tell you something buddy, I have been buying video games since day 1. I have always supported the game industry. That makes me a TRUE gamer pal !
LOL I have never seen a thread so geared at patting them self on the back for being a "real gamer".
And listen to you ranting on and on and on about WiiU when you don't know a damned thing about it. You are by far the biggest Nintendo hater of all time, and quite frankly I don't see how this thread hasn't been flagged for trolling and flaming.
I think you are just jealous of the fact WiiU is gonna kick ass, and you are going to miss out because of your hatred!

haha, that brings back memories. i used to get my nes/genesis games in toysrus and i remember the video games were right across the aisle from board games in glass cases and you had to get those tickets and bring them to the register to get a game, then you had to bring the ticket with reciept to a window where a guy would sit and get the games from shelves behind him. haha, it was always magic to me when i would peek in that window and see all those games just sitting there. |
My Toys'r'Us still does that with the tickets.
Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.
I'd prefer that, in a sense. I can't be bothered to refute the bad joke that is this article so I won't, but, actually, at the moment, being a "proper" gamer isn't exactly something to be proud of. If Nintendo stuff is moved to the toy aisle, I'd actually be glad to be free from the company of these creatures people when going to buy games - sorry, toys.

That's is just stupid for anyone to say but I know that some want Nintendo to go the way of Sega. And that is why the hate build-up and something like this get said. Starting from Nintendo's 64 days devs thought that if they did not put games out on Nintendo's console it will soon go away but its franchise are way to strong and got stronger from no competition. Years later the Wii blew up without third party games and Nintendo is almost stronger than ever with its DS. After Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas I was looking forward to a new one but what Rockstar North did was change the series for ever. It now looks so good that I know it will be hard to go back to the cartoon look but after I play it for a few hours I am bored. They have spent more money on making that game than any in console game in history and Nintendo's Super Mario Bros Wii sold more than it on both consoles. Not to compare them because the are two different games but now Rockstar has set the bar so high that they have any choice but to do more or I will tell you now fanboys (including myself) will complain. If Nintendo belongs in the kiddie aisle then that where you should find Microsoft and Sony console. Will Wright said that, the guy that make The Sims game. Nintendo is going nowhere so the devs need to stop with the rhetoric. If they don't want to make games for Nintendo consoles that fair game, Nintendo still go on to its on beat anyway.
Seeing as how all video game retailers have their own reserved section exclusively for video games, the OP suggestion is pointless other than the intent to bait any reader with pro-Nintendo leanings into responding aggressively and negatively.
Based on a lot of the replies, it looks like it worked too.
Without delving too deeply into the non-functional logistics that would have to be applied, I suppose under this line of thinking, certain games published for Nintendo platforms (your CoD ports, etc.) would be placed with the "regular" games in the Video Games (for *not* kids) section while those intended for a younger audience would be placed with the Leap Frog games in the children's section. And I suppose while retailers are at it, they may as well place any Xbox, PS, or PC games intended for a younger audience within the same children's section as well, thus removing the convenience of being able to find anything video game related in the same easy to find space.
Or... Retailers can continue to do exactly what they've been doing for the last few decades and just throw all the video games in the same section where every shoppers knows where they're located and save everyone the headache of a really idiotic suggestion.

NINTENDO FANS OF VGC, after re-reading this thread, and going through his profile, I can conclude that this thread is a 100% genuine joke. You may put away your pitchforks and torches, and stop rage commenting the guy. On his profile, it says he hates Sony, so why would he suddenly praise them?
