PlayStation Store, Qriocity returning to Japan this week, completing global PSN restoration

Sony's 'Welcome Back' campaign may have drawn to a close a bit early, but the PlayStation Network won't make its full return to Japan until later this week. As of July 6th, Japanese gamers will once again be able to access the PlayStation Store and Qriocity, bringing an end to a nearly three-month suspension enacted after April's widespread data breach. These services have already been reintroduced across other parts of the globe, but Sony encountered notably stiffer resistance in its homeland, where authorities demanded assurance of the PSN's security before allowing it to relaunch within their borders. The PlayStation Store remained down throughout Sony's negotiations with government officials, but company spokesman Satoshi Fukuoka says those discussions have advanced far enough for full services to resume. The PSN's long-awaited return to Japan will also signal its full global restoration, meaning that Sony may finally be able to put the saga to rest -- and try to forget about that $170 million it lost in the process.

I'll get LBP Portable and Patapon 2 for PSP, but I'm not sure about PS3 yet. The choices are a bit... lousy compared to Europe and America.

I think they're Japanese language only, but I could be wrong.

I know for sure there are Japanese PS3 titles that contain English, but I have never heard anything like that for PSP. (Except maybe the Final Fantasy remakes...I think those contain English text...)

Well, you probably won't be able to log into the Japanese PS Store with your PSP anyway, because PSPs don't support multiple accounts like the PS3 does.

Been waiting to get Patapon 2 for ages, about bleeding time!!!

For those of you who didn't get Stress Buster from Hong Kong, make sure you get it from Japan because that game is amazing!

As for the ps3, I'm not keen on the Locoroco title as that's not really a game, just a glorified screen saver, but as I have the other 3...don't really have a choice x_x. I'm left with Echochrome it seems.

When you try to copy the games to your PSP and that game is tied to a different account you'll encounter a problem that won't allow or something to that affect. Haven't had my PSP in a while so I can't be very specific about it but just no that it doesn't work with content from 2 different accounts, just the account registered on the PSP.

uhh...you are allowed to switch accounts on PSPs, you just need to deactivate them.

Great for ps3/psp owners in japan. The game choices could have been better though.
