You make a good point. MS may have a better online experience but sony are at the moment are more friendly to opening it up to developers than MS is which has led to games such as dust 514/FF14 (which i know isnt a great game so far) being excluded from the xbox. Though i understand MS are in the process of their xbox live rules so as to make it more dev friendly.

I'd have to go with Sony due to the fact that Resistance 2 imo had an excellent multiplayer and I enjoyed it a hell of alot more than any of the Halo's.

Sony has more great online games and MS has the best online game. I'm going to have to default to Sony in a tie.

Id say Sony MAKES more online games with variety. I'd say Microsoft has ACQUIRED better and more successful online shooters outside of Halo. I believe Uncharted and Starhawk will change the game though. I believe LBP and Mod Nation Racers have already given Sony the lead. Seeing that the COD and other third person shooter titles are starting to level out in sales between the PS3 and 360 and the online are both now highly competitive compared to the past. I'd say what it will come down to are the exclusive franchises which are multiplayer because with Modern Warfare sales getting closer and closer between the 360 and PS3 is getting hard to tell the difference.
