This is good news, I'd love to see a new IP from them!

LBP is awesome but in the past 2 years we've had a psp version, a sequel and a vita version announced, I think it's time for these guys to use their awesome talents on something else.

Good news LBP2 has alot of staying power and can last years without a sequal a new IP is a good idea.

I voted "undecided" but the overwhelming votes for "yes" surprised me. I thought it was a beloved franchise. Only two full console games and a portable version. I guess there's only so much you can do with it, though.

it isn't that there is only so much you can do with it but rather there is some much that is being done with it, imo.  LBP had a very active community that was still pumping out amazing levels all the way until the launch day of LBP2.  i definetly want more LBP in the future but this off all sony franchises needs to be a once a platform kind of realease schedule.  as the marketing phrase goes: lbp is a "platform" for games.

if MM wants to make more LBP levels (an i hope they do) i want them to release it via download not a new disc.  the little injections of DLC ala paintinator and water was a better method of distribution imo.

I'm glad Media Molecule is moving away from LittleBigPlanet to try something new. I like LittleBigPlanet, but such a creative development team shouldn't limit itself to one series of games. I'm excited to see what they have in store for us!

Very good news.

LittleBigPlanet 2 was fabulous and much needed considering how rare platformers are on the HD consoles but its time they moved on to something else. I don't see myself bying a 3rd LBP anytime this gen including the one for Vita. But MM are very talented developers and I can't wait to see what they'll come up with next.

I voted yes,it's always good when a game company branches out and tries something new. You can't have the same thing over and over again.

I want them to fix all my complaints with LBP before moving on. LBP 2 addressed only a small amount of things I think they could have done to make things wayyy better for the sequel.

I voted maybe.
It heavily depends on what they're going to make instead.
