If you haven't done so yet, you should try dark beers. They don't taste so bitter and usually have a bit higher alcohol %.

REAL beer is good, not that corporate shit made by Anheuser Busch, Miller, etc.

Samuel Smith's Porter and Nut Brown, Young's Double Chocolate Stout, Hoegaarden, Blue Moon, etc. Look up local breweries in your area and try their home brews. The sad thing is that these local brews, and even stuff like Sam Adams, make up about 1% of the overall beer market, yet taste 1000 x better than Anheuser Busch/Miller/Coors, which taste nearly the exact same, and together make up about 90% of the market.

The question of "best beers" can't be answered in my opinion. It all comes down to personal taste. What one likes tastes like p***water to somebody else. ;P

I haven't tried more expensive ones but so far, I hate beer. Tastes terrible.
