woah woah to whoever said street fighter 2 is crap you are a complete idiot. fighters these days, with the exception of smash brothers are nothing compared to SF2. thats not nostalgia talking, thats me playing the game recently and realizing why the heyday of fighters has long since gone cuz nothing comes close to SF2.
also while some games on the VC have aged badly many classic NES and SNES games have aged incredibly well. I think the VC will teach us which old school games are truly classics cuz those are the ones where the gameplay and fun still hold up today. and honestly a lot of them do, although some certainly don't (ecco the dolphin seems kinda not so amazing anymore).
i also kinda feel like some of the magic of video games is gone. i think the games that still have the most of that magic left are nintendo games and some of the better new downloadable games. cuz DL games have to sell purely on creativity and fun, not on high budget production, amazing graphics, or suped up hype machines. i just got geometry wars for wii and it is awesome. and just saw a couple really cool looking XBLA games on G4 that look better than most of the normal games i see coming out these days.
