Halo 3 can go to hell. Im sick of the hype for that bloody game. Me and my friend have been playing COD4 alot recently, but we decided to go back to Halo for a little online action. MY GOD, not to say its bad..but, it was bad. So much slower and unresponsive compared to COD4, sure its got forge but I couldnt care less when im annoyed playing it.

Perhaps reviewers still have some kind of hatred towards the Playstation 3, or some thing. I am not sure. Gamespot didn't have a single Playstation 3 game in their nominee list for Game of the Year. Some thing is strange. Maybe Microsoft is paying these guys "not" to give credit to Playstation 3 games, for Game of the Year awards? Nahhh... Bill Gates wouldn't... Would he? Nahhh...

I don't agree with best FPS is Halo 3.

Call of Duty 4 is the best FPS for 2007.

are you on crack? the PC mod community dwarfs the forge's abilities.

Firstly... I agree that The Orange Box is much more deserving of "Best FPS Game."  But if they broke up TOB into individual games, then I can see why they thought Halo 3 was better than any of the individual games (if you count Portal as an FPA).

Second, you know why The Forge is awesome?  Because you can actually use it on a 360, because even a noob can figure it out, and because you can throw a fun map together in a few minutes.  You're playing Halo 3 multiplayer with your friends, you're discussing an idea for what would be cool in a map, and a few minutes later, you'll all having fun playing on that map.  Consoles just aren't set up to run fully-fledged desktop applications like Hammer.  The Forge isn't meant to be Hammer, it's meant to be very easy and fast to use, and usable on the 360, and it's good at what it does.  It's like the stage editor in Brawl.  They didn't want to make something only 1% of Halo 3 owners would use, they wanted to make something 100% of Halo 3 owners would use.

see i understand that but i dont get why they couldnt give you a blank map to work with and all the material to freely place whatever amount you want.

Seriously the Tony Hawk games have been doing it for a while.

Uncharted would never make GOTY simply because no one bought it. I don't think there's a US site out there with the balls to give a game with sales numbers that poor GOTY.

CoD4 would be a smart choice, it's multiplat so both the 360 and PS3 fanboys can be happy.

I think I remember Okami winning GotY on many websites.

to be fair to them, the PlayStation 3's best exclusives only received average reviews from them; Uncharted got 8 (it's joint lowest on metacritic) and R & C got 7.5 (it's third lowest review)

There's an important difference, though - Okami wasn't heavily hyped or advertised.

The ideal GotY is the one that the most people would really love. With Okami, one can maintain that a huge number of people would enjoy the game, but that they just didn't know about it and so never bought it. With Uncharted, which was talked up a great deal online and which had a rather extensive television ad campaign, the only real explanation for low sales is that not many people were interested.

Perhaps these game reviewers are just not accepting the fact that the Playstation 3 has some kick ass games now. They were probably deliberately searching for negative things about these games, just to give them lower scores. Clank N' Drake make the Playstation 3 a worthy purchase.

But all of them? It's not like we've seen a huge amount of scatter in scores for these games. Scores for Ratchet really only range from 80 to 100, with the vast majority in the 85-95 range. Uncharted is similar and even more concentrated - it looks like the majority of its scores are 90s.

Why would reviewers all decide that they don't like PS3 games? Especially when the people reviewing PS3 games might only be reviewing PS3 games.

Every freakin site(except for maybe 1up/ign) are looking to be somewhat biased against the ps3..

Anyone else remember that Lair review thread? Lair was obviously getting horrible reviews from every site, and leo-j declared that he only trusted reviews from Gametrailers and one other site (IGN?). Neither had reviewed Lair yet when he said that (which is obviously WHY he still trusted the but not other sites), but then IGN gave Lair yet another lousy score, so leo-j said he only trusts Gametrailers.

lol

Can you stop putting $hit in my mouth? I never said $hit about LAIR, heavenly sword was the game I was talking about.
