Forums - Gaming - No More Heroes Could be the Wii's GTA!

Oops double post...

Around the Network

you never know, its being published by ubisoft. all they need are a few ads here and there and this game will catch on. its either gonna be a huge failure, or a decent success.

My expectations aren't high for the game at all.

Sorry but I don't see this one being close to GTA in any way...

To Each Man, Responsibility

It's not the sandbox style game GTA was.

ubisoft makes bad games sell well. (red steel and assasins creed, though it wasn't bad it was average compared to the hype!)

Damn things have changed since 2009 began. Here are my new visions for the end of the generation.

Wii: 135 mil

Ps3: 85 mil

360: 60 mil

Uhh....No. This game will not touch GTA's sales. It probably won't be as good as GTA either, but that's what I think. I know I shouldn't be judging the game before I have played it, but it's quite obvious it will never reach the critical or commercial success the GTA series has achieved. It's inconceivable. No More Heroes is much too quirky and outlandish to appeal to many people.

All that said, I'm definitely looking forward to playing this game. I wish it can sell a million, but it won't because most Suda games are not successful. But I'm confident NMH will sell more than Killer 7 simply by virtue of being on the Wii.

Add me for Pokemon, New Leaf, and Fire Emblem, Mario Kart 8.

This game is surprisingly good every time i see a vid of it on youtube! the controls look realistic! ubisoft actually found out how to make a wii game with motion controls rock! this game is at least 10 times better than red steel. i believe that this could push 2 million units in 2008. (though it wouldn't be close to the amount that the behemoth that is GTA4 willl sell!) your thoughts?

Ubisoft is just the American publisher. It's developed by Grasshopper Manufacture.

"Ho! Haha! Guard! Turn! Parry! Dodge! Spin! Ha! Thrust!" -- Daffy Duck

It's an artsy game, and artsy games just don't have mainstream appeal, so I'm not expecting awesome sales. Just look at how well Okami sold, and that game was absolutely brilliant.

I'll be buying it just because it's totally off the wall(assuming it controls well, at least). I like quirky games, though.

Agh, what the hell.

Did anybody here even play Killer 7?

Have you looked at No More Heroes vids?

This is NOT Wii's "GTA".

You go from building to building, and do most of your fighting indoors...the city is relatively small. I'm not sure why people keep comparing NMH to a sandbox city game. NMH is a stylish action game, GTA is a city driving sandbox game.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I was pretty sure they were a French and Canadian publisher..
