Forums - Sony - Uncharted Impressions...

I think just about every post here should be responded with "Chill out, it's a videogame." Most of Shams original post complains about things that are "unrealistic." Rocks are too shiny. Nathan takes too many hits. He doesn't get hurt by grenades that are right behind the wall. Nathan shouldn't be able to heal by himself. Nathan kills too many people.

Shams, you've clearly missed the point of the game. Have read anything about it? Actually, forget about reading about it. Have you seen any movie ever? Such as a classic trilogy like Indiana Jones? When has anything any of those movies made sense. Clearly, you just don't get it. Move on and continue to not have fun playing very good games.

My Top 5:

Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger

My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3 and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.

Ps: Great if Leo-J had made a thread like this about zelda it would be four pages long full with insults against him and he probably would be banned.

He posts worst things than that everyday and he has been banned only 2 or 3 times.

Ive been banned 11 times.

Great....

Sorry Shams you lost my respect serious...

For posting my impressions of Uncharted, or assuming that the PS3 fans on this board could handle me posting my impressions? If the latter - then I can understand that.

I'm on a crusade to get some real discussion/debate running on this site, and no fanboy is gonna stop me.

No, it's not that I couldn't handle your "impressions" just that impressions mean you've actually played the game, not seen it in action.  So now we don't have to play the game before we can review it?  You clearly said the game would only get a 7-8 which is a review score.  So I've never played SMG, I saw it played in GS for thirty minutes and I give it a seven.  That is and would be wrong.  You have to play a game, somewhat extensively before you start handing out scores.

 @ elnino

Yes he is entitled to his opinion, but when he gives is opinion along with a score, that's when it's wrong, especially, when you haven't played the game.  I just don't understand reviewing a game you've seen for thirty minutes and haven't played.

Shams sorry to say but this is a piss poor review. Thank god your not on the VGChartz PS3 or PC review teams.

Please tell me there actually arn't going to be reviews on the site. That would be the biggest mistake Ioi could make. People would scream bias from the rooftops way more than they do now.

I second this. Most reviews would be like a copy & paste of SonyDefenseForce anyway.

im sorry but I actually know how to write....

so mine will not be a copy and paste jobs.

I realize that you have ever right to be very critcal, but I dont think a score was nescessaey for impressions.

I loved it, and I reccommend you give the game another shot at the start.

P.S. Call of Duty has the same auto heal system. I guess it's a love/hate thing.

How did you get to do that?

And finally - my friend strongly disagreed with my "general comments" about the game (the autoheal in particular) - although the "murderer" quote is actually his, not mine.

your friend must hate GTA then

Huh? Why?

Surely the main characters in GTA could be considered murderers? Especially the whole running down people who aren't involved in the main story? Or does "killing innocents" suddenly take on a pro-moral aspect because its a videogame?

...

is there some rule against being critical on PS3 titles on this board?

Isn't your friend the one who complained that Nathan Drake is a vigilante and killing people without reason or remorse?

As to the second point, I'd say no. Considering it seems to be the most recurrent theme on this site. Being a Sony Fan and/or a PS3 owner on VGChartz is like being John McClane wearing a sign at the beginning of Die Hard: With a Vengeance

I imagine his poitn would be that Nathan is treated as a hero in the game, while in GTA the main characters are always treated as the criminals they are.

Yeah, but like he even said in his post. In CoD it makes sense. As you've got medics, and supplys and the like. Me I like the auto-healing even when it is in unrealistic circumstances. I'm a patience player, always have been. It's about time some games reward you for taking your time and planning stuff out, rather than run and gun.
