I seriously can't think of a main character I hate more (some of the worst games ever made, too).

well since its so been there done that and old not going to say cloud, but instead going to say

emil from tales of symphonia dawn of new world. sure at the end he is finally confident and all that, but it happens too late and TOO FAST. its not realistic at all. thus why he gets my vote

The haze character is the only one that comes to mind,if you can call that a character.

Emil from Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the new world. Damn good game, but he's such an emo , at first !

Agent Thornton from Alpha Protocol is also as generic as he's lame.

Freddi Fish comes to mind.

I mean, the game was bad, but he was HORRIBLE. He's the PERFECT example how a character should NEVER be.

I liked Cloud, emo yes, but still much more interesting than most main characters in games.

Worst main character? I think the one that turned me offf the most in recent times is the Little Big Planet guy.
