Sony doesn't have a have a title as strong as the behemoth that is pokemon, which is a big reason that people buy nintendo Handhelds. In japan, I believe It will be a close race if Sony money hats the MH series to be only exclusively put on the Vita. The rest of the world, I don't think it will be very close... The games will take us through this tale though.

Unless Nintendo collapses upon itself, 3DS is gonna win. The question is, by how much?

When PSP was annonced the majority expected that DS will lose so this time the majority expect that 3DS will win so PSVita will win.

Sony is not a week company if their console has more better games then Nintendo and have a good price i don't know why Vita will lose.

Sure fans of Pokemon or mario or zelda will buy 3ds for thats game but gamer who's not pro-something won't buy a console for one game.



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

In the end I think 3DS will be on top, but I also think the difference won't be as big as between DS and PSP.

Cool story bro, but that has nothing got to do with what i said. One of my family members has a 3ds with super street fighter and steel diver. I found super street fighter to be embarissing in comparison to the ps3/360 counterparts. Flat and still backgrounds and the 3d was average at best. The fact I could pull a super or ultra move with simply a touch of the screen took the  trill out of the game entirely. Steel diver was pathetic. I have Zelda: OOT on virtual console and N64 so no need for me to get it on 3ds. Nintendo should be worried if the vita launches this year. The hardware alone and sheer value for money on the vita makes the 3ds look like a kids toy. IMO.

In Japan, Vita will almost certainly take the market (provided it gets the same 3rd party support that PSP currently enjoys). In the West it's another story : it essentially depends how the casual crowd will behave. Is their interest in games high enough to upgrade from DS to 3DS? The Xmas season will answer... If not Nintendo might not be able to win because 3DS has not enough core games scheduled.

But the reasons why people were saying the PSP was gonna beat the DS are the same as those that are making people think the Vita will beat the 3DS.

Yeah, too bad there's no games worth playing on it. IMO

And consoles are kids toys.
