More than a year before the WiiU. Don't you think it's too early to hype it if it's not coming to other platforms? Maybe xmas release for Xbox360 and then launch day for WiiU.

the game was designed specifically for the Wii-U (I mean, seriously, look at what they're doing for multiplayer), so you won't be seeing it on the other systems. As for hype, keep in mind that stuff like Bioshock Infinite is a ways away and yet Irrational is hyping it with videos like this.

Why announce it as an exclusive if they are working on other versions? It's not like any other game announced from 3rd parties had any problem with saying that they were just porting over existing games. And announcing the game around a year out (I am assuming it's going to be a launch title and that Nintendo will want to launch a few month before xmas so they can buld up holloday sales rather than being sold out in the peak sales period) isn't that strange, these days it's not uncoman to start hyping games up years before release.

I think the blend of two genres on this game is really interesting as a concept. I hope it turns out well.
