Ever saw a creature from a non-Pokemon movie / game / TV show that had a good enough design to make it as a Pokemon? It just dawned on me after watching this movie that this creature would have made an awesome Pokemon:
Night Fury or Toothless the Dragon from Dreamwork's How To Train Your Dragon would have made an awesome addition to the Kanto region of Pokemon IMO as one of only two species of Dragon Pokemon - it could have been Dragonite's direct rival! Toothless would be badass in battle, but he also has that adorableness that many of the original Pokemon had:
Also, it's pretty obvious to me that Toothless would be a Dragon/Dark type Pokemon (which would actually have made him the first ever Dark Pokemon). He's just meant to be a Pokemon!
The sublime design of Toothless makes me believe he should have the highest honour of belonging to the original cast of Pokemon. Maybe there are quite a few creatures out there that could make it to the weird set of Pokemon in the Unova region of Pokemon Black/White (don't get me wrong, I love the game!) such as, from the top of my head, a Buggalo from Futurama:
Buggalo seem to fit in with some of those seemingly cross-breed and ugly Pokemon of late.
Anyone else ever thought this about a creature from something unrelated to Pokemon? What creature from what movie/game/TV show could has what it takes to be a Pokemon? What region would you find it in and what type would it be?
