4GB can play any game you have.  I think the issue was with offline/online campaign co-op or splitscreen or something.  It may have even been fixed by now, who knows.

Sony has not announced any new SKU's. Only internet leaks/rumors of an updated SKU.

Also, MS does have a Gears of War 3 SKU with 320gb HDD, which indicates to me that there is a good chance we will see updated 360 SKU's soon as well. I'm guessing late august/september for price cuts to become official.

to clarify this clarification, they have patented a new SKU. The 3000 was patented several weeks ago. The current model is the 2000, the slim, which replaced the fatty 1000 models. So there is definitely a new model planned for release.

I just figured the gears of war sku is equivalent to the elite limted edition skus. For example the MW2 SKU and Final Fantasy Skus came with 250gig harddrives back when the biggest harddrives on normal 360s were the 120gigs. A new 360 sku didn't come out for a long time after that and no pricecuts came. They are just increasing the harddrive size to make the limited edition console seem like a better deal.
