Pretty much this.  The vote shift was sudden, but it's not like it came out of nowhere.  And I don't know why you sound upset about it either. 

Well, I got a strong town from him, even though he was wrong on me the whole time. He just didn't seem scum to me. And with fast I meant how suddenly all the votes flew in. In any case, the flip will show if Hat was right or if he was lying, although I can't imagine that, that would raise a hell lot of suspicion on the next day-

Fair enough ... as for the flip, considering Linkz has made reference to his "partners" with abilities that he wants to "go after protection", I'm estimating a zero point zero chance he was town. 

I'm pretty sure you missed the post where linkz confessed... (that or people about to be lynched all decided to play the scum in their last hours...).

The final votes did come in fast, but i'd be more interested in knowing why it took trucks and vette 2 days to say "cop claimed and has a result, le's lynch" than why it happened fast. With this perspective, their votes sound more as resignation rather than an actual "follow the cop".

On your last sentence... recall as prof said "they could both be scum"... if we lynch one, the other is cleared.

A) See how unbelieving of there being a full cop this round, well why would the mafia not think this too and make a gamble on it?It'd be linkz and Hat in the mafia, surely this would be ballzy enough for them.

B) Or see how linkz is pissed, that could mean he's a godfather (people pissed at mods here have often been godfathers... last time Gow Hosted, the unkillable godfather died night one....ironic) and 

B1) got scanned by hat anyways (but that doesn't go with the current theory)

B2) assumed there was a cop, that he'd come out and down hat, then scan linkz and poof Godfather so clear to victory.

B2 would explain why Linkz never ever attacked Hat, nor actually defended himself much, with the plan failed... all that was left was trying to save the face and revert to plan A.
