So we can deal with 2 minutes of clicking through menu screens and *health & safety warnings nobody ever reads, but waiting a quarter-minute (at the very most) for the TV to turn on is just unbearable?

(* Yes, I know Nintendo has to put those there to prevent legal disputes 'n' shit. They're still annoying.)

My guess is it will be on all the time, just in sleep mode - so no "2 minutes of clicking through screens" or warnings

So one of the reasons to put a screen in the controller was the lazy people that can't wait for the TV to be on? That's ... unexpected (and sad).

That is what he said, but it doesn't seem right... it sounds like a bad translation.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I had this slight apifany last night in fact while I was trying to convince myself to turn the Wii on.

Its going to be awesome having an "always on" console at home that I can pop in and out of without disrupting the television. The thing is I have my P.C. hooked to my t.v. and its just too much demand for one monitor.

I think its an age thing, the older you get the more every little piece of hassle becomes a deterent.

The number of times I've had the impulse to play some fling smash or whatever and not bothered due to haveing to switch the tv over is admitedly a little sad, but still a large number.
