The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Not much more really needs to be said. The title is almost eponymous with quality and should be in every gamer's collection.  http://www.n-europe.com/review.php?rid=581

A remastered masterpiece. A reminder of why we play video games. A slice of interactive heaven. A damn good game.  http://www.gamereactor.se/recensioner/27931/The+Legend+of+Zelda%3A+Ocarina+of+Time+3D/?sid=cbaff42d0abeff692f12f0077f533042

A perfectly judged makeover for what remains possibly the best arcade adventure ever made.

This game is one of the greatest things that video games have ever achieved.

Beautiful visuals, improved controls, exceptional pacing and engrossing gameplay are all present and correct. The N64 version is an all-time gaming classic, but this is truly the finest edition of Ocarina of Time.

Ocarina of Time 3D is, and forever will be, pure unadulterated bliss, taking the original title and making it essential gaming all over again.

Diving into this 3DS version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is proof enough of how much the original was ahead of its time, thirteen years ago. Today, with but a subtle graphical overhaul of its hero and game world, Ocarina of Time 3D manages to become a must-have of 2011. Even though you'll probably not experience the whole adventure with the 3D on, the touch interface, so comfortable for such a game, is a major enhancement of the comfort one has when diving in this epic tale blessed with a charm and some magic that seem, indeed, timeless.

The pacing of the story has a Disney-like quality to it, building moment by moment to the crescendo of its conclusion. It is nothing short of magical.

It's one of the most acclaimed classic games in history and continues working as well as before. Ocarina of Time 3DS shows its mechanics never grow old and its magic doesn't succumb over time. 3D, redesign and extra content for which is, indisputably, the best game of the portable console.

Nintendo Power: 95

As amazing as Ocarina of Time has always been, it's gotten substantially better on the Nintendo 3DS handheld...In my opinion, Ocarina of Time 3D benefits more from 3D than any other N3DS title so far.

Computer and Video Games: 94

Still a classic, still an explosion of nostalgia. Ocarina of Time 3D is a blissful rediscovery for veterans and an unmissable opportunity for newcomers.

My new favorite way to play one of my top 10 games of all time. Its updated visuals look great in 3D, the touch-screen streamlines inventory issues, and aiming with the gyroscope feels like much more than a gimmick

An excellent remake of the much loved Nintendo 64 classic: refreshed, renewed but still very much familiar and fun.

Ocarina of Time returns in Nintendo 3DS with an epic remake made for both fans and new players. A timeless legend which travels in time to present without losing the great gameplay and values that led to success in late 90's.

This is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, just as you remember it, reborn for a new portable system and a new generation of gamers across the globe. If you have never played this classic game, stop reading this review and get out there and buy it. The core essence of Ocarina of Time ages exceptionally well (even in light of sequels that have expanded on it), and it's never looked better. That Nintendo and Grezzo were only willing to adjust and enhance so much (by and large the sound is untouched) is truly admirable and speaks to their respect for the source material and its original developers. There is no doubt in my mind that it was the right choice. Why mess with perfection?

That said, that decision comes with a price, one that will frustrate many of you who have played this game over and over again and are in the market for drastic change. If the graphical boost isn't enough - and let's be honest, we're already seeing some games on the 3DS that look better than this - you're not going to have much else to satisfy your interests. It's clear this game is being released to find a new generation of gamers that are just discovering Nintendo's franchises. The rest of us will have to determine if it's worth re-visiting a Hyrule we've known for nearly 13 years. Rest assured, though, that doing so will not only let you relive a masterpiece, it will let you experience it in the best way

I suppose this is why the Zelda/Bond analogy is ultimately flawed. Games have changed a lot more since 1998 than films have since the '60s. Ocarina, essential and unequalled as it was in its day, shows the signs of its age and could definitely be refined in ways that wouldn't have a negative impact on the heart of the game itself. It's still a great adventure, laden with atmosphere and crammed with content, but it sits uncomfortably between the 2D perfection of A Link to the Past and the more nuanced refinements of its own successors (especially Twilight Princess and, by all appearances, Skyward Sword). As a portable gaming enthusiast, I love being able to play a game of this quality on the go. I just wish as much attention had been paid to the nuts-and-bolts of the game as was lavished on appearances.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is more than just a re-make. Sure, the story is the same, and if you've played it before, everything will feel instantly familiar. But if you fell in love with Ocarina of Time when it originally released, the revamped visuals, new interface, and bonus content will be enough to get you back into the game. Ocarina of Time 3D truly shines on the 3DS, and even though this version is optimized for handhelds, it is definitely the ultimate version of the game. If you have never experienced Ocarina of Time before, this is a great place to jump in. If you've already been through the game several times, get ready to say hello to an old friend made new. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is truly the first "must-have" game for the 3DS.

GamePro (4.5/5)

In short, it's given me a new perspective on a classic that I had (foolishly) written off. It's not quite enough to sell me on owning a Nintendo 3DS; but if you've already taken the plunge, Ocarina of Time 3D is pretty much the best 3DS game on the market right now. I can't promise that it'll give you a new perspective on the series as it did for me, but I can promise that it's still one fine adventure.

When you've seen your journey to completion, you unlock the Master Quest, a tougher version of the same game you just beat. All of the environments are mirrored, which gives things a refreshingly unfamiliar feel. The dungeons and temples are also stocked with more enemies and restructured puzzles to test your mettle. It's a shame the Master Quest isn't unlocked from the beginning to give veteran players an advanced point of entry, but Ocarina of Time 3D should tempt both young Kokiri and wizened Heroes of Time. Though its roots show through from time to time, the improved visuals remove any barrier of entry that age may have posed. The new elements enhance the core adventure to create the definitive version of this classic game, making Ocarina of Time 3D the best way to embark on (or relive) this landmark adventure.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3DS isn't the greatest game of all time; it's not even my favorite Zelda game. It is, however, a sterling example of epic 3D adventure done right -- the likes of which you won't find on any portable until Nintendo announces an original adventure or gives The Wind Waker the 3D treatment. I'd prefer something new, but if I'm going to relive decade-old stories, this is a helluva way to do it.

Vgchartz: 9.2

The original Super Mario 64 was the game that, to many, showed off the benefits of running around a 3D game world. The possibilities for immersion in gaming were raised exponentially, and the potential gameplay applications were unfathomable.

Unfathomable, that is, until Zelda. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time took the design sensibilities of previous games in the series—the overworld, the dungeons, the puzzles, the ease of control, the character interaction—and transferred them into a polygonal environment so rich and detailed that many still consider it the finest game ever crafted. Thirteen years later, Nintendo is attempting to sell us on another kind of 3D technology: stereoscopic. With this in mind, an updated Ocarina on the 3DS isn’t just a good idea; it is easily the finest title released on the platform to date.

I´ll be adding more as they show up...

It seems we have a new and strong contender for GOTY ;)

It looks incredible. I really wish I owned a 3DS right about now

I doubt it will win many game of the year awards, though. Even if it is a brilliant port, it is essentially still a port. Look at Metroid Prime Trilogy.

The one review with 3D in the name gave the lowest score? Conspiracy!

I still haven't played the original, so this one will be a 100% sure purchase when I'll get 3DS.

After all this years, and being just a remake, this game can still be one of the best rated games. The same is happening to the Link's Awakening port over the eshop.

By the way, the game sold very well in japan.

It seems 3DS will get some momentum over there.

I would like to add that the ONM score is the highest that they have ever given to a game, they gave the 2 SM Galaxies and Twilight Princess 97% each. I don't remember their predecessor, NOM ever giving 98% either and I started reading in the 5th gen. NOM gave 97% to Resident Evil 4 (GC), the original OoT, Perfect Dark and Banjo Tooie.

If it keeps this up 3DS will never get a higher rated game than this.

They criticize the game for having the same music and sound effects than the original, that is, in midi and for not including novelties in the gameplay (new dungeons or side quests).
