Once upon a time the gaming community were as one, today its divided. this generation has divide the people causing an all out war among ourselves.

we are gamers fighting among ourselves on who has a better console or games etc etc are pointless

People have to justify what and why they spent their money. People will not be proven to have made a mistake.

You serious? Remember Nintendo vs Sega days? Or Nintendo Vs Sony? Fanboyism has always been there since the dawn of days. I swear that it was bigger in the 90s than it is today.

Anyway since we are largely playing the same games today since 90% of the titles you want are multi plat, i would argue that its actually more joint than it used to be.

but in those days, it was not rampent as compared to these days. even though most games now r multi plat people are still fighting on who has the better version or what so ever.

Their were no forums back then..If their were it would have been full with threads as 'Nintendo is so kiddy they don't even have blood in Mortal kombat' or 'lol blast processing power tried doom on the megadrive?'   

Exactly. Even people who care on internet forums don't actually care in real life. It's just a nice way of keeping online forums and gaming websites in general interesting. Discussion is boring without differences of opinion.
