Forums - Gaming - E3 2011: What I Played (for anyone curious)

Wii U: NSMB Mii (looked like more than a tech-demo), Chase Mii, the UFO Mii Shooting game

Wii: Kirby, Rhythm Heaven, Zelda, Go Vacation, Mario & Sonic

X360 / PS3: Dance Central 2, FFXIII-2, Sonic Generations, Rayman Origins (also on WIi, Vita, 3DS)

3DS: Shinobi, Sonic Generations, Super Mario, Mario Kart, Luigi's Mansion, Ace Combat

Vita: Just saw some tech demos being played - long line

I don't know what you all have read but its a bit early to tell how Wii U will be utilized and recieved by the market - alot of ideas that seem natural will probably depend on penetration speed. Nothing on the show floor felt like a killer-app - NSMB Mii didnt really use the controller at all.

I'm pretty into platformers so I was pretty happy with Sonic Generations, Kirby, and Super Mario. Rayman Origins is stupid amazing and is definitely my most anticipated game of the year - I know Xavier and some of the other staff were pretty much in awe of it.

Can answer any questions people might have about various games.

Is Sonic Generations as good as it looks? I like what I've seen, but I'm pretty skeptical of anything with Sonic's name on it nowadays.

did the 3d help in playing games on 3DS?

How did Super Mario 3D look compared to Galaxy?

At least we agree on which was the ebst game of the show.

Above: still the best game of the year.

Do the 3D in Mario work well? Is it easier to see where the cubes are, where are you jumping, etc.?

Ace combat on the 3DS. Is it any good?
