Forums - Sony - Are you going to purchase White Knight Chronicles II?

I remember around 2 or 3 years ago on this site when everyone was buzzing about the PS3 exclusive 'WKC', and wondering A) what that stood for and B) what all the fuss was about. The answers were A) White Knight Chronicles and B) people were hyped for Level-5's new IP. The excitement faded after localisation took a while and the game recieved lackluster reviews.

A remastered version of WKC1 is included on the WKC2 disc, which might be a selling point for the game. WKC2 promises to be an improvement, but not enough of an improvement for early reviewers of the game. Are you going to pick up White Knight Chronicles 2? Answer, and mention if you bought WKC1 or plan to play it on the WKC2 disc.

il deffo be getting it because i traded wkc1 when i learnt remastered version comes with 2, i thought it was a pretty good game brilliant voice acting for this type of game and music was memorable.

just need to buy neptunia 1st then il get wkc2 after that



...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

Yeah I'm going to get it..I liked the first one despite many people bashing it, it wasn't so bad and the second one looks to improve the game itself so yeah definitely getting it

NO! WKC 1 was one of the worst JRPG this gen. Operation Darkness and Spectral Force 2 are the worst JRPGs this gen and WKC is part of that list.

Yeah I'm definitely going to buy it, I bought the first one on day one, enjoyed it so much, I was excited for it, and in my opinion it delivered, it had a great (A simple, but it was told really well) storyline, the graphics were actually pretty decent, I loved the amount of foliage in the woods and stuff, plenty of detail there, and I've got to say, the music was absolutely amazing, I really loved the music in the game, it's my favourite RPG of this gen so far...

White Knight Chronicles 2 game out on Friday for me, but I haven't bought it yet due to the fact that I need a new computer since mine is dead (Until I can afford a new one I'm using this 11 year old POS, lol), but I think when I buy it, I'm going to do a rerun through White Knight Chronicles so I can see how the game plays with the improved mechanics, and because I haven't actually played it since last year, so it'll refresh my memory, even though I already know most of the story off by heart, it's just so good and I'd love to replay it, might as well wait until I can get the "improved version" which should be some time in August, so it's not too far away...

I might when it hits $20. I just have too many games to play and it's not going to be at the top of my list.



Playstation All-Stars is one of the best games I've played this gen, and is the most fun I've had in a game this gen.

lol WKC is the game I hyped the most in my whole life. What a blow.

I will eventually get WKC2 but not at full price.

Yeah, I already have it pre-ordered. I bought WKC1 day one and only made it to 20 hours, which was around the time I heard rumors of a remastered version with a better battle system. It was a decent game, but a little disappointing (Not as much as FFXIII though).

As a level 5 fan, im willing to give wkc2 a chance. Hopefully the story is more interesting and doesnt seem like it is was written by a first grader like the first one.

Biggest thin g they need to fix is the combat. There is no reason my attacks are limited by distance, but the enemies isnt.
