I don't see why people have to ruin an otherwise cheery thread with their trolling. It annoys me greatly. And I'm sure it annoys a lot of other people too. If you're gonna say something like that, at least back it up.

Its called I'm a DM for Gamestop and I sell Wii's every single day of the year.  We aren't pushing this kind of volume.

And you better watch out who you call a troll.  I've been a member of this site since 2008 and never a single time been banned. Stuff like that shouldn't be slinged around.

I guess if you said that first he wouldn't of got himself a ban

I like these Wii sales, the more they sell now, the more they eat into their expected 13 mill FY target the less chance they have on winning christmas!!

I guess I just figured he knew by now that I work for Gamesotp I've posted countless times hard pre-order numbers from our database as well as other things.  I though it was well known.

But anyways maybe other retailers are pushing more volume and we've for sure seen a lift but not anywhere near double what we were selling before like these numbers are trying to point to.

wii up again, nice to see you there good friend...

I hope the 3ds gets better numbers soon, I know OoT, mario kart, super mario, star fox & kid icarus are going to help a lot, but still... And blazeblue is coming at the end of month... yeah, I know is not going to increase 3ds numbers but I do love the game,,,,

While it might not be overtracked THIS week, its certainly overtracked in weeks prior, from Jan-March. I cant do the "proof" you want, on my phone... But go back and check the other WW up threads you all somehow missed before the Wii cut. Its there :)

I'm not saying you're wrong (infact, you may well be right), but you need evidence to back up your claims when you say something like that


to me the evidence is simple: nintendo released shipment numbers that showed we have been overtracking the wii for quite a while.  this site didn't feel the need to adjust despite that evidence.  as such, there is no reason not to believe that this site isn't continuing to overtrack the wii.  if this site refuses to adjust we'll probably end up with yet another quarter where our "sold to consumer" numbers are larger than nintendo's "shipped to retailer" numbers.

but hey, wii is in the ballpark of 90 M now so as long as we are within 9M of the real number we should be happy, yes?

Just because you are District Manager of Gamestop doesn't really mean shit.  You can't base anything off what your locations sell compared to others.  Even if you were manager of an entire state you still couldn't base anything off that.   You only have a very general assumption of what is going on in the nation/worldwide.  You can't come up with anything accurate.  Even though Gamestop is the biggest video game retailer in USA there are still plenty of other stores and online sales that you have no clue about.  It would be almost like me going into a few stores and noticing that Wii's are sold out.  Must be sold out everywhere then...
