I cannot help feeling that this community is somewhat jaded. These individuals seem to be purely political activists. Among their victims are a great many regimes ran by despots. Ironically they are effectively championing the right for people around the world to enjoy the rule of law. The world actually needs more people that are actively trying to stop the brutalization of entire populations. Unfortunately there isn't a lot that can be done against them legally.

I understand why some may be upset about the PSN/SOE having been hacked, and the fact that Sony has been the victim of hacking almost twenty times in the past couple months. That doesn't mean there isn't a distinction at play here. This is like busting the guys that run a gambling pool, but donate the proceeds to charity. Yes it isn't exactly legal, but it isn't a terrible crime either.

There are degrees in crime, and I think some of you are just lumping all hackers together.

It would actually be nice if they just rounded them up and gave them to the Egyptian and Libyan leadership so they could have loads of fun with them.

what do you mean by that, what would we do

Eh? These guys don't seem all too bad considering they attacked tyrannical and dystopian regimes. We need more of those.

Good. I bet Sony is a little happier.

They are working for freedom of the people with no benefit for themselves whatsoever, but look at the response from the people. I guess you shouldn't expect much from a gaming site.

I don't know what the governments of said countries would do, but rational people of those countries support them.

You are out of your mind.

There's NOTHING they could do that would benifit me in the slightest. All they do is influence the quality of the products I try to enjoy.

Nevermind that Sony lost almost $200m. Get real.

Let'em burn...

And here is another one FBI come and get him. I believe the third poster on the page!!! All joking aside, are you serious that you think these people are right?

These? Yes. They fought against vile regimes and policies. The ones who went against Sony not so much...

I will never agree with you.

Your biggest problem may be the lack of online gaming , but there are people with bigger problems. They are working for freedom of those. Only victim of their actions are corrupted governments and corporations. You may think that they are more important than you, I don't.

Actually you are right, according to a good friend of mine Egypt is not hardcore on sharia law nor cruel punishments so I apologize on that one.

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.

yea if you said that before the revolution i would have understood as police was very brutal before the revolution and they could torture anyone they want but right now we have put emergency law on hold and torture isn't allowed anymore (most of the police right now is also very afraid to torture cause they would go to military court and get fucked over there).
