3 Million is not a flop. Under 500k is a flop. I should think it would sell at least 2 million.

I saw ads for the game the other day...I never see ads for games.

you have to remember that it was actually a small team for most of that time, id was not a huge studio which is why it has taken so long. Since the Bethesda acquisition they have doubled the size of the studio and are still only a mid size studio. 3+ million over all platforms (PS3, X360, Win, Mac, Linux) should make a good profit for Bethesda...

Also the game runs at 60 frames per second on consoles and the only other major FPS that is doing that is Call of Duty.

i think it will do well enough, despite the other fps games this holiday to warrant a sequel if one can be made.
across all systems : 3+ in total sales.

Getting Resistance and Skyrim instead. If it had come out last year I would've skipped Black Ops for it.

Actually might help it, September has  Gears and Resistance, Dead Island, Battlefield, Batman amongst others, October only has Twisted Metal, Forza and Dark Souls.

I agree as well, but even if it hits 2 mil 360/1 mill ps3 as you've mentioned, it'll at least (hopefully) even out the dev costs =/. Can't wait for it to come out though!
