Forums - Microsoft - Molyneux on Fable: The Journey: “It’s not on rails

Is he for real??? He says the game is not on-rails, but then says that you spend most of your time on a horse, that you dont control??? The guy didnt even mention how you will move, I want to see how this plays out, because this guy does not have a great track record, when it comes to promising things
Really, just add a nav controller, screw this noise about not wanting to copy

I believe you DO control the horse, by whipping it.  Anyhow, I would say it STILL is on rails, but you control the train, and also get to change where you go at different junction points.  So it is very likely not just on rails, but on a rail network.

I really expected he would say 'it is not on rails it is on a horse'.

Horse sweat technology? I want to see a horse poop. Until then, no sale, Molyneux.

OMGZ! It's the best game ever and the revolution Kinect needs!!! GO PETER!

I'm glad to hear it, it'll be exciting to see what we see of the game from here.

Molyneux is full of it. I am not investing in anymore of his lies. Microsoft needs a new lead bullshit artist.

@d21lewis

Please don't give the man any ideas. This is the guy after all who has given gaming sexually transmitted diseases, gay sex, and gender bending. That means nothing is out of bounds for him. Frankly wouldn't be surprised if the horse will shit, and hey up side it will probably have sex too.

lol that's what he meant by not on rail... the horse will randomely go off to run after a sex partner or take a crap in the wild :P

no but seriously I still don't see why a game can't be fun and good because it is on rail..... side scrollers, top down scrollers and other games are on rail people still love them... I'd rather have a good rail game than a bad free roaming one.... don't you guys ???

I just wish somebody would make one of those old point and click games like Shadowgate, Maniac Mansion, Deja Vu, or The Uninvited for the for Kinect. It's a perfect fit.

That makes more sense. I have no issue with on rail games, love em. My problem is that this Pete guy is doing what he does best, Fronting. Just say what the game is and how it will play without being vague
