Yeah, the story ends in 2. I'm guessing the third takes place while the first two games are going on. |
Yeah, that's what I would assume

Haven't we just had E3 for Vita? :p there were all those new announcements! :D
Picked up Demon Gaze again btw. Finally figured out where I was stuck (secret door that you need Comet for, ugh this stuff is annoying) but ploughing ahead with the story and enjoying it again.
Btw, did anyone pick up Natural Doctrine? What were your thoughts on it?

I got it when it was slightly cheaper just after launch (and paid about £20 for it). Haven't really played it properly yet. But from what I did see, it looks a pretty solid little SRPG if that's your thing.

I did and platinum'ed it! It was interesting and challenging game.
You may wanna play on easy difficulty first and learn some tactics because it can be tricky sometimes like playing chess.
But once you get a grip it will be a breeze and very fun actually.
The story is very good but the characters are well-developed and very fun to control them. You have swordsmen, gunners, sorcerers and a lot more.
I highly recommend this if you're interested in T-RPG. Just.....don't read the reviews, they're bollocks

I think this safely summarises most Vita reviews tbh. No comprehension of what they're reviewing is actually about. Too much concern over the female cast of the games. And marking down because yeah it's cool, but it'd be better on a home console!

That is why I mostly disagree with them. If moneys involved, they ridiculously score the game high. If don't then they would trash the game with any excuses they can find.

It's weird. When I watch gameplay videos I think the game looks exactly how you describe it (fun tactical gameplay; interesting story elements; lots of choice) but then I read reviews and they ripped it a new one.
The common thing I see for it is that the difficulty is tough and there's not many tutorials for it, though. So I'll have to read up on it first.
Thanks for the recommendation. Think I will get it after all.

I think Natural Doctrine is a classic example of most reviewers not really understanding what they are reviewing.
S-RPGs are not a massmarket genre. They shouldn't be reviewed to those expectations. The audience generally know what they want and I know quite a few S-RPG fans and they are all positive about the game.
It's the "Warriors" thing all over again. Dynasty Warriors generally struggles to score about 6/10 in reviews, but again, the audience know what they want.

Actually, 3rd takes place after 2nd I think. 2nd ties up Estelle's/Joshua story and 3rd is more off a set up for Zero/Ao. Also, 3rd stars 2 different main characters.
